Yige Wu is a PhD student in cultural and comparative studies. She received her MA in East Asian Languages and Cultures from Columbia University, and BA in Art History and Asian Studies from the University of British Columbia. She is interested in censorship as a productive apparatus that pushes alternative means and theorizations of social movements and activist activities. Her inquiries center on “intimacy” as affect, relationality, and a method and praxis to be with ourselves and others. Her broader interests include Chinese film and media, decolonial theory, queer temporality and haunting.
