Yoshiko Owens
Yoshiko Owens, a native of Japan, teaches Japanese language courses (J100A, J100B and J10) in the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures. She also holds teaching positions at California State University, Northridge, Santa Monica College and Los Angeles Pierce College. She teaches a variety of Japanese courses from 1st year to 4th year levels as well as a content course on Cross-Cultural Understanding. Having gained invaluable experience from teaching various courses at a wide spectrum of colleges, she maintains the ability to adjust her teaching methods to suit the diverse aptitudes of the students she teaches and the types of courses.
Yoshiko lives with her husband. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking, swimming, coffee culture, watching food-themed reality TV shows, and reading in bed.
